Zevlor reacts to the comment about fantasy fiction with only mild amusement. Such things exist on his world, too, after all, but they're a little closer to day-to-day reality, in most cases.

"Wouldn't shock me," he says, and smiles, but it's an awfully tired smile. "Tieflings are persona non grata where I come from, too. Wouldn't be the first time someone thought I wandered up from Hell."

Hurts every time, of course, but it's no longer a surprise.

"The Nautiloid was built to cross planes. That's one of the problems with mindflayers. They won't be content until all worlds are one under their Grand Design. I'll tell you whatever I can remember about them, in case they show up here again. I hope the rest of them were defeated back at the Gate."

Because it looks like even if he does get back there, it won't be in time for the rest of the battle. Still, taking down an entire Nautiloid by himself isn't half bad for a day's work.
