It's actually a little strange how calm the tiefling sounds about all this. It's the peaceable acceptance of Alice in Wonderland, having seen so many mad things in rapid succession there's just no reason to be startled by them any more. It's not shock, but it's probably something akin to it. "I told my companions if I died in that fight, it would be with pride.
